Just had a crash on creo 8 and trying to run the trail file for the first time, I found a youtube video to follow but when I click run it just doesn't do anything? Not sure what I'm doing wrong. I've renamed the file, can select it from the open menu, but then I click open and nothing happens.

Hi,
if you are really Newbie and do not have any experience with trail files then I suggest you redo all your work from the beginning.
Realized one mistake I was making, I needed to show and then remove the numbers after the .txt. Now that I've done that, something appears to start running but then creo immediately crashes with nothing happening.
Have you set the continue from OOS variable in your environment? If not see this article and try it. it does not solve all issues with this but works for some.
When you run a trail file, everything has to be EXACTLY as it was when the trail was made. Depending on what you are trying to do.
The trail file will fail if it is trying to do something that isn't exactly as it was when it was done during the trail creation.
Best thing to do to be successful is to try and isolate the bit that you need and remove everything else except the header which you can not delete. There are some threads in here with suggestions for how to go about doing it.
To help with debugging, set the trail to be single step using this config option:

That's what I ended up doing haha. Posted here, then decided for this particular project I'll just redo everything, Thanks for all the help though, while I hopefully won't need it in the future I'll keep everything in mind,
