View orientation

Is there a config setting to prevent a model from moving to its default orientation when you cancel out of a feature. I can be looking at the model in the manner that I want, but if I decide to cancel out the creation of a feature it will roll back to the default orientation. Is there a way to prevent this?

Wildfire 1.0
M220
Window XP sp2

I know, that's annoying... The only thing I can think to do is to save
the view before cancelling.
