I am using both WF3 (M110) and WF2 (M270) on a Dell M90 laptop (Precision Workstation) using Win XP Pro x64. Both editions of Pro-E Wildfire are 64-bit, and I do not experience problems crashing.
Assuming it is not a Pro-E date code issue, I have solved these problems is the past by one or more of the following:
. Re-installing with anti-virus software turned off.
. Used Windows XP Check Disk to repair cross-linked files.
. Used Windows Defrag to solve file fragmentation problems.
I noticed if Pro-E files are fragmented, it can cause performance issues. It is also possible that Spyware is an issue and is consuming windows system resources. I use both Spybot Search & Destroy to remove spyware, and Ad-Aware to remove adware. Another useful tool is CCleaner (
