Hi all,
I have a server set up with the following: -
OS : - Server 2008 R2
SQL : - Standard SQL 2008
SP : - Sharepoint 3.0 SP2
PTC : - WPP 1.1 M021
DOMAIN : - WPP
Client Spec : -
OS : - Windows 7 Professional
IE : - IE8
DOMAIN : - COPANY
The problem I'm having is that I'm unable to log into WPP, but I;m able to see the downloads section.
I think the problem is down to the fact that I'm on a different domain, but I;m not able to see the shared drives, wich makes me think its an authentication issue.
Can anybody advise on how to resolve this issue.
Hello Paul,
I'm not an expert, but I think that far more information is needed.
First, can you check what users do you have in "People and Groups" section?
From domain WPP or COMPANY or maybe local?
Put here more details, please.

Marek
Hi Marek,
The user has been added as an 'Owner' the user can log in on the server, but not on the client machine.
What other info do you require?
Hi Paul,
when you aren't member of a domain (but you are a member of ProductPoint) you have log as "DOMAIN_NAME\user_name".

Hi Krzysiek,
I have tried this and it wasn't successfull, yes the client in on one domain and im trying to access ProductPoint on another machine.
Is thee any security options that might need to be tweaked on client machine.

Paul
HI,
did u use WPP as DOMAIN_NAME??
Regards
Krzysiek
Hi Krzysiek,
Nope, I have used CONCURRENT as the domain name.
The server is a Virtual Server, just for infomation.

Paul
Hi,
You have to use DOMAIN_NAME of server on which ProductPoint is installed.

Krzysiek
Hi Krzysiek,
The client is attached to domain > HONEYCOMB and ProductPoint is held on a Virtual Server called CONCURRENT.
