We are getting a vertical machine that has two indexers side-by-side that both rotate about the Y-axis. One will be programmed using -B- and the other will be -A-. This means that A90 and B90 puts both indexers at the same position. These will be used for indexing only - NOT true 4th axis work.
We have an Icam developers license and greate posts in-house.
The question is: How will the post know which indexer to command to index when the vectors will be the same? How can I intercept the $$->TRANS and/or $$->CSYS lines in the post to "throw a switch" when the relative positions of the sequence and machine coordinate system change? I can do a work-around by having the post intercept the fixture offset or something like that but I think there should be a more positive solution.
