Hey, I have been using CREO 9 since February with no issues (creo 5 the 4 years prior to that). I had a recent windows update and since then the windchill page in CREO is loading oddly. I've tried all the fixes I could find online (clearing cache, renaming windchill folder, uninstalling windows updates, high DPI settings etc). I am fresh out of ideas but need to be able to use windchill in creo. It will load no problem on other laptops connected to the same network and outside of CREO on chrome.
Too many large workspaces, workspace has too many objects, OLD workspaces, workspaces kept after a major windchill update, .wf folder kept after a major windchill update. There are a ton of potential issues. But since you recently did windows update, its possible a windows file has been corrupted on your computer.
You could also have a setting that is different than your coworkers computers. You can try removing all your config.pro/config.sup, creo_parametric_customization.ui and test, you might have to add a temporary new config.pro to get your basic connection settings. Or copy a working set of files over to your computer from a coworker.
Re-imaging your computer may test also be a possibility to test if you've have a corrupt window file.
You didn't say what version of Windchill you are running. Since Creo 5 and Creo 9 do not run on the same versions of Windchill, I am guessing at sometime there was a Windchill upgrade. If that is the case, StepehenW's reply may have a lot to do with solving the issue. Also IE is no longer a supported browser with Creo 9 or the latest WIndchill versions (12+).
I'm running windchill 12. I can see that the old config windows_browser_type isn't allowed anymore. Do I have to manally dictate to the program which browser type to use in a new config option?
Chromium based browser is the default setting now, nothing for the users to set in that regard.
