browser window remains in the background

Since the Win11 update, the browser window remains in the background when the option “web_browser_in_separate_window yes” is selected
and can no longer be brought to the foreground by clicking on the icon in the system tray. This affects Chrome and Edge (IE)!

Hi,

Google returns reponse shown below. I entered creo browser window behind other creo window text.

Note: You can login as different user to find out whether he problem is related to current user profile.

To bring a Creo browser window to the front when it's behind other Creo windows, you can either use the Alt + Tab keys to cycle through open windows, or you can configure Creo to display the browser in a separate window, allowing you to easily manage its position. Alternatively, you might need to adjust display settings or troubleshoot potential conflicts with customized applications or graphics drivers.

Here's a more detailed explanation:
1. Using Alt + Tab:
  • The most straightforward method is to use the keyboard shortcut Alt + Tab to switch between open Creo windows.
  • This allows you to navigate to the browser window and bring it to the front.

2. Undocking the Browser (Separate Window):

  • Creo allows you to undock the browser from the main Creo window and display it in a separate window.
  • This is particularly useful on multi-display setups, as it allows you to view the browser and Creo model simultaneously.
  • To enable this, set the web_browser_in_separate_window configuration option to Yes before starting Creo.
  • You can then drag the detached browser window to a separate display.
  • The unembedded browser retains all the functionality of the embedded browser.

3. Troubleshooting Potential Issues:
  • Display Settings:
Check your Windows display settings, specifically the scaling (DPI) setting. Ensure it's set to 100%.

  • Graphics Card/Drivers:
Outdated or incompatible graphics card drivers can sometimes cause display issues. Ensure you have the latest drivers installed.

  • Customized Applications:
If you have customized applications running within Creo, they might be interfering with the browser's focus. Try disabling these applications temporarily to see if it resolves the issue.

  • Creo Configuration:
There are various configuration options related to the browser that might need adjustment. Check the PTC support portal for details.

  • Reinstall Creo:
If all else fails, consider a clean reinstall of Creo, potentially using a tool like Revo Uninstaller to remove all traces of the previous installation
