config.pro icons

When in a drawing, by clicking tools-options you can see the active config.pro settings for the drawing. My question is what do the icons that appear next to the name of the file mean? (ie. lightning bolt, diagonal blue line with a spark, and the computer) Also, Is there any way to change one of these icons? My problem is that I made a file to change the default text height in a drawing, the file is called standard_drawing.dtl. I made the drawing_setup_file look in the standard_drawing.dtl file for my default text height that I want, only it will not work in an active drawing still. I was hoping that by changing the icons that appear in the tools-options box would solve my problem. Please let me know. Thanks! p.s. I am using templates, could this also be the problem? If so, how do i change the default text height in a template that I made so that it is a permanent change?

While the config.pro is not totally isolated from the drawings, I would say that you need to target the standard_drawing.dtl file. When you create a new drawing that drawing will look for that setup file to setup the items that you want as a default. Older drawings will not update to a new .dtl file automatically. Drawing templates use the drawing format as part of their scheme, so using a template should not be causing the issue. I've never worried about those icons you have mentioned, but I do look at the status column in the config.pro file. You want green lights in that column. Eric

I got it to work, thanks!

You have to tell pro/e what drawing setup file it has to use, through config.pro options. Eric is right about drawing updating, if you change your template file, you'll have to reload it in order to take effect in your drawing, be aware that it might erase te information you put in the fiel boxes. The icons indicate wheater an option is to take effect inmediatly or not, meaning restart pro/e. Other tells you if is an eviroment or global option and things like that... You don't need to worry about those
