[error]: "Lincense request failed for feature" in PTC Creo 3 Student version
Hi
Suddenly I got this error message upon starting PROE3
"Lincense request failed for feature
Requesting PROE_EDUC1....
7788@moe-pc: (-61) Cannot read license file data from license server system."
What should I do?

Hi,
It seems license manager on machine moe-pc is not running.
Try below steps on moe-pc:
1. Open System Services (Start > Type Services.msc > Enter)
2. In system services look for lmadmin_ptc or Flexlm server for PTC > Select service > Right Click on that service > Restart

Big thanks. Good I waited for the answer and didn't do any reinstall. It worked .
Maybe i should have restarted the computer, that would have restarted this license manager too.. As it is a laptop it usually just sleeps. I did a log-out though, i thought its equivalent.

Good to know that it is working.
I have seen in past that when laptop goes in sleep mode, license manager will not restart and that to because of a Windows functionality which disables the network card when machine in sleep mode.
In such conditions restarting license manager service OR rebooting the machine fixes this.

I seem to be having the same error message, and didn't see either of the two things mentioned in the services tab, I was wondering if there is a new fix, or if the names changed. Thanks
