hello
i want set k factor as 0.5 by default in config fille
somebody help me with sin
PTC uses a Y-factor, not a K-factor that the rest of the world uses.
See my posting from earlier this week for a link to an explanation of the two.
The config.pro setting is: initial_bend_y_factor and the default is .5.
Once you are in Creo and a sheetmetal part, you can change the part parameters to use the K-factor.
This will set the factor type: SMD_PART_BEND_ALLOW_FACTOR_TYPE
This will set the allowance you want:SMD_PART_BEND_ALLOWANCE_FACTOR
So is it possible to manipulate the config file in order to achieve this?
I'd like to make the K factor 0.5 by default(and used), without me needing to go into bend allowance for each new sheet metal part to tick and change the value of the K factor. I tried adding those 2 lines("SMD_") in the config.pro file, to no avail. Using Creo 3 M010 if it's of any importance.
Andrei,
you can create sheetmetal template part with K factor set to appropriate value. Later you can use this template when creating new sheetmetal part.
Click File > Prepare > Model Properties to open Model Properties dialog box.
The click change in Bend Allowance row and set K factor.
