living hinge

I once saw a Suggested Technique somewhere for creating a part with a
"living hinge", such that you can open and close it realistically (keeping
the hinge the same length) without it crashing. But a Knowledge Base
search came up zilch. Anyone know where I can find it? Didn't it have
something to do with special features "Bend"?
