Just got a call from one of my users complaining that .stl files were now unusable because they are now showing as a Certificate Trust List.
Our system are now associating the .stl extension with Microsoft Internet Information Services. Where the .stl extension is a "Certificate Trust List".
List of predefined items that have been signed by a trusted entity; may consist of a list of filenames or a list of certificates<;">http://techterms.com/definition/certificate>; each item in the list has been approved by the signing entity.
Certificate trust lists (CTLs) are used by Microsoft IIS to store trusted websites and other addresses that require a secure connection.
However it doesn't prevent our CAD or Rapid Prototypting software from opening those files using the file open menu. I does however prevent drag and drop functionality and double click to open functions.
Anyone else have issue with this? Any suggestions?
