Hi everyone,
I'm currently supporting a Windchill RV&S instance (we're using 12.5.0.0 currently) for my company, and I'm having a bit of a problem.
Our security team has pointed out that every time Windchill RV&S connects to a database, it exposes the ldap.credential password by sending it as clear text.
I've tried to find any documentation on solving this issue, but for the most part I could only find solutions to protect the password on the server, and not when Windchill RV&S is communicating with the database.
Is there another way to secure the database password where it then doesn't send the database password as clear text, maybe something along the lines of a Kerberos, SAML, Oauth, or OIDC method?
Has there been a recent update that solved this issue?
Thank you for your help with this in advance!
This issue is resolved and was only due to some missing configurations.
