Hey there,
Any updates on the Article - CS323245. its regarding using both line and bars in a single chart inThingworx version 9.3. Any workarounds for the same, apart from label chart?.
Also when the label chart widget will be no longer functional in TWX 9.3. it's made legacy in 9.3 but still functional.
Thanks,
Sunil

Please find my response to your queries below,
1) The Jira is not yet resolved, R&D is working on delivering a new chart widget i.e. combo chart, to support the use case of combining different chart types in one chart region. The target version has not yet been finalized.
2) As a workaround you can use label chart widget or you can develop you own chart widget as well.
When you move to a higher version the deprecated widgets are automatically replaced with their respective new widgets. That being said, though the widgets are replaced automatically but at times some functionalities might break, so you should do thorough validation in TEST\DEV first before upgrading production.

You can refer this link to check the legacy widgets and their replacements.
When a widget is marked as legacy that does not mean it won't work in that version, it will but the legacy widget will be deprecated in a future release(we do not know in which release), so developers must avoid using them while designing mashups.

Thanks Sachin for the quick reply.
Two quick questions:
1) Specific to this article, CS323245, when the JIRA ticket is likely to get resolved.?
2) Is it supported by PTC to use label chart as a workaround as mentioned in above article? Also, when solution is in production, and migration to higher versions is planned, do the deprecated widgets have to be removed manually and replaced with newer widgets?
Thanks,
Sunil

Thanks a lot Sachin, for the info, will proceed with label chart as workaround.
