Greetings,

This is the TWX DevPortal who manages your hosted trial. Some relevant information...

  1. Your hosted trial is only active for around 3 hours. After 3 hours, it auto-shuts-down. You can restart it at any time.
  2. Since the trial will be shutdown after periods of inactivity, it is recommended that you do not bookmark the URL for the trial itself.
  3. Instead, please access your hosted trial management page here: https://developer.thingworx.com/en/profile/trials
  4. If the server is shutdown, you can restart it from your trials page. Note that spinning the server back up may take several minutes. It may even be slightly non-responsive immediately after the button turns green and running is displayed, as that indicates the status of the underlying OS rather than Foundation itself. Please simply try accessing it again a minute or so after the button turns green.
  5. If the server is *RUNNING*, and you still can't access it, please attempt to manually shut it down via the same trial management page.
  6. After a shutdown and restart, if the server is still not accessible, please contact the TWX DevPortal directly here: TWX-DevZoneHelp@ptc.com

In addition, please note that if the 3-hour auto-shutdown is unacceptable for your investigation of our products, you can download and install your own trials here: https://developer.thingworx.com/en/resources/trials Simply click on the "LOCAL INSTALL" tab near the top.

Thank you,

TWX DevPortal

Wait for sometime for the instance to shut down due to inactivity and then restart it and see if it connects.

If you still have issues, please let us know and we will engage the team that manages those trial instances.
