How to Make use of the Preferences Widget - ThingWorx 9.7 Version

Hi,

I need help on how to make functional/use of the Preferences Widget - ThingWorx 9.7 version.

  • I have dragged the widget but it is not getting used at all when I am trying to click on the save the button (the button is not working)
  • How to take the approach for this widget.

How do you know it's not working? It works for me, the language entry on the user entity is updated when you click save.

There seems to be a bug that the list is not refreshed when you click "edit" again, but you can workaround by reloading the widget.

You can also log a support case for that issue.

Can you tell how it is working for you?

Because for my case When I am clicking on the select language option the row is not even selecting in the widget.

It's a drag and drop interface, you drag it over to the second column and look when it becomes green to drop it. The drop zone isn't very large though.

Yes, I have tried the drag and drop option. It's like going to the place where we are selecting, apart from this how you can change the language in the application by using this widget?

It changes the preferred language in your user entity. so when you reload, the labels etc will be in the other language for your account, if they are defined in that language.

Hi,

 

I have dropped the French language in the first first drop down and clicked on save button but nothing it's getting impacted in the application and we have the token's in the Localization table of French.
