How to deselect label/node in Tree Widget

I can't deselect the selected label or node in the Tree Widget, I have tried almost everything, running the data source service again, setting the selectedLabel and SelectedValue to "", 0, undefined or null. I even used random ID and parentID fields, but seems like the tree widget or the service selected rows are storing the row index;

I took a quick look at the widget, What is the value of "AutoSelectFirstRow"?
Can you provide a test case which shows the issue?
What version of ThingWorx is being used?
