I'm trying to locally install ThingWorx Foundation trial on an Ubuntu 18.04 Azure VM. I was following the Foundation Linux Install Guide found on the developer portal, and was able to get to the last step where everything is installed when the setup errored out with message: "Failed to install dependencies: Chef Client". I found an article, "ThingWorx Installers 8.5 and Q&A", that states the "Support of Ubuntu is not there for the automated installers, it is still there for ThingWorx itself." How do I proceed to install the trial if the automated installer is not supported? I need to install with SSL.
Hi,
Try to use CentOS: https://community.ptc.com/t5/ThingWorx-Developers/Failure-to-install-dependencies-chef-client/td-p/639195
Hope it helps,
