Is the SCP Accelerator still an active (and valid) product?

Hello,

My company is developing an IIoT Lab using the Thingworx platform + Extensions.
Our objective is to learn and demonstrate internally the power of the PTC solutions. We will use this Lab to gather new projects, using it for demonstrations to our clients.

We already imported many demos that we could find here and that are demonstrated here.

We couldn't help but notice that some demos are using the SCP Accelerator, even though information regarding its installation and configuration are hard to find.

So our question is:

  • The SCP Accelerator is still an active offering from PTC? We started doubting it after seeing this post on the community and this post of the field academy news saying some training related to SCP is being retired.
  • In case the product is still up:
    • How can we request an evaluation?
    • Is there a documentation for its configuration and installation, as for other products in here?

Hello @ArturSarlo,

The SCP Accelerator is not supported by PTC Support Services, but I have gathered that any questions related to the SCP Accelerator should be referred to Lora Estey (lestey@ptc.com). She is the right point of contact for all SCP related queries.

Hi @ArturSarlo

SCP Accelerator has never been a PTC product, which is likely why you're confused if it is or not.  As it's name states, it has been developed as an accelerator for SCP projects and is built with the building block framework so as to get started faster as well as enabling easier extensibility.

For the time being, you should see it as a comprehensive example application that you can take, re-use, and learn from.  You will continue to see more from us in this direction as we continue to leverage and build upon the solution building blocks.
