In Thingworx 9.4, the localization of some texts in the Chip Based Data Filter in Toolbar Widget does not work. For example, the text of the buttons of the filter (Image 1) are not translated as well as conditions used to query the data(Image 2). Moreover, it is not possible to set the localization manually in the properties. Does anyone know about a possible solution?
Hi ,
Please check if these words are mapped in localization table
Hi Ashritha,
The goal of this filter is to give to the user the ability to filter a Grid. The data used as Source for the property FilterData of the filter is as well used as Source for the property Data of the Grid. II decided to use Chip Based Data Filter provided by the Toolbar Widget (instead of using the standalone widget), in order to organize better the interface (Besides the filter I added other buttons in the toolbar). One of the requirements of the project is to provide the interface in Italian, therefore I want to localize everything in Italian.
What I was able to achieve, is the translation/loacalization of a few labels of the filter such as "Filter by" and "Condition", when setting the Mashup Language to Italian. However, the Mashup was not able to localize the rest of the labels and buttons within the filter. For example "Apply" and "Cancel" buttons should be translated to "Applica" and "Cancella". Also the possible conditions are not translated, for example "is exactly" should be "uguale".
The options under the "FIltra per"/"Filter by" dropdown are already translated in Italian, since the name of the columns of the Datashape of the Source are already in Italian.
I think it is important to underline the fact that the standalone Chip Based Data Filter Widget, is able to localize correctly the labels when setting the Mashup Language to Italian.
Kind Regards.
Hi @Ashritha ,
I was able to change the "is exactly" translation by changing the dataFilterIsExactly token value in it Localization Table in ThingWorx9.4.0.
However I indeed unable to change the token value for cancel and apply in Localization Table, the changed value won't be saved successfully.
I'd suggest you to open a support case to report this issue and if you think the default translation for Italian is not correct, you can also report this via support case and request to have it corrected.
