MQTT connection issues

Hi everyone,

I don't get why my "TestMQTT" Thing doesn't connect to my MQTT-Broker.

Basically i did this:

I created a NewThing with ThingTemplate "MQTT"

in Configuration I tried to use "test.mosquitto.org" with 1883

This should be enough to get the "green connect icon", or do I miss something?

I use ThingWorx 9.1.0 and MQTT_Extension 2.1.0.

You should use the latest version of MQTT extension 4.0.1 with Thingworx 9.1. I was able to connect TestMQTT thing on my 9.1 instance following the steps you provided.

Where do I get MQTT-Extension 4.0.1? The latest i found was 2.1.0.

MQTT 4.0.1 is available on PTC support portal Software Downloads page> Thingworx Foundation> Release 9.1> Thingworx MQTT Extension or you can follow this link.

UPDATE: As of December'22 the latest version of MQTT Extension is 3.1.0

We've made some changes per this announcement.  However, since MQTT is not referenced, I am following up for clarification.
