Okta Configuration

We use Okta in our enterprise and would like to link our solution with ThingWorx.

Does anyone have experience customizing ThingWorx to authenticate users with Okta?

Hi, Thomas.

I can't find any infromation in our knowledge base about integrating with Okta; so I don't know that it's been done.

The only mention I find is in another post in the Community;

It still doesn't look to me like this has been tried.

I have the same question from a prospect of ours, wanting to use their Okta as LDAP integration with ThingWorx.

Made any advance in the subject?

We had a call with ptc and they told us to use PingFederate:

PTC

However, there may be drawbacks such as a user having to login multiple times. We have not had a chance to test the functionality yet, but were told that if PingFederate does not work, customization would be required.

I have to check internally, maybe we have already done some tests with PingFederate.

If customizations would be necessary, and our customer wants to proceed, maybe we can team up.
