Question regarding Image URL!!!!

The image URL was set to "D:\1.png"(The URL can be set to a external URL to ThingWorx according to the image above).

But after I input the URL,the sourceURL become a strange format like the image as following.

And after viewing mashup, it doesn't work~

Hello,

"D:\1.png" is a file path, not a URL. The image URL means like if you were to link to an image somewhere on the web. I am not sure of the syntax to link to a file on your computer, but I would guess that this is what Media Entities are for and you need to create one for this image in order to use it on your mashup.

Adding to Tori's reply, by external link, it points to any direct image link outside ThingWorx, like our Community's header image. You can't use your local directory's link as that won't be accessible by anyone other than your local (windows) user.
