Hi,
I am facing the same problem that has already been discussed many times.
Have gone through and tried most of the solutions that were recommended but still my issue is unresolved.
Issue:
Am trying to connect Thing Worx academic simulator to a hosted trial composer.
The URL is of form https://pp-xxxxxxxxxxxx.devportal.ptc.io/
I gave pp-xxxxxxxxxxxx.devportal.ptc.io as Server url.
Copied and gave application key.
Gave port as 8443 with Secured Server checkbox checked.
The simulator returns error "Unable to connect, check your port".
I have tried all possible port numbers 8080, 80, 443 and 8443 with corresponding state for Secured Server checkbox.
Have confirmed that Platform Subsystem > Configuration > Allow Application key as URL Parameter is enabled.
Also, could not find any related log under Application Log section.
Can someone help me out.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Amal

@AJ_9926333 : You are correct that there have been many posts for this particular issue. However, on your connect page on Thingworx academic simulator, can you try unchecking 'secure server' checkbox and then trying with 8080?
