The ubuntu version is 16.04.
Can Thingworx 7.4 be installed in ubuntu 16.04?
Or Can Thingworx 8 be installed in ubuntu 16.04?
Or need I go back to ubuntu 14.04?
I have already a Thingworx 7.4 installed in Windows and developed something in it.
Can I migrate the code from windows to ubuntu thingworx? and how?
Thanks!

Hi Tiantian,
All extension downloaded from marketplace need to be import to 8.0 before you migrate the data.

Hi Tiantian,
You can install ThingWorx 8 on Ubuntu 16.04. (Although, the system requirement is 14.04, I installed on 16.04 successfully)
Data between 7.4 and 8.0 can be migrated. It's really sample, just export from 7.4 and import into 8.0.
Any concern, please just let us know.

Ok. Thanks!
The data migration from 7.4 to 8.0 is regardless of OS system, right?
Hi Tiantian,
Yes, you can just export it from the composer and import to another composer.

And all the marketplace used for 7.4 is still ok for 8.0? Like googlemap plugin?

Hi Tiantian,
Any concern regarding to ThingWorx, just feel free to let use know.
The folder under /usr/share/ is tomcat8.5 or tomcata8?
The new user name is tomcat8 with the group tomcat8.5? Regarding the sudo chown -R tomcat8:tomcat8.5 /usr/share/tomcat8.5
Hi Tiantian,
I thought the last sentence of stpe14 should be $sudo mv apache-tomcat-8.5.13 /usr/share/tomcat8.5/8.5.13. Seems to be a bug for the documentation. I will report to product team about this.

The installation instruction of thingworx 8.5 is wrong?
