I have a Thingworx 9.1 instance and am looking forward to upgrade it to 9.7. The instance is using the SQL DB. And we are planning for migration upgrade.
What would be the easiest way to do this?
1. Should I Upgrade to an intermediate version before upgrading to 9.7?
2. Should I directly install 9.7 version in the new server and export the custom apps from 9.1 and then import it to 9.7?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Probably go to 9.3 first and then to 9.7.

Going from 9.2 to 9.6 (will be same for 9.7
Going from 9.1 to 9.3 is an inplace upgrade.

Thingworx 9.1 can't be upgraded to 9.7 directly, you have to upgrade to an intermediate version.
For detailed upgrade steps, you can refer to the Help Center: https://support.ptc.com/help/thingworx/platform/r9.7/en/index.html#page/ThingWorx/Help/Installation/Installation/upgrade_overview.html
