Hi!
Researching through documentation I found two ways of creating custom widgets
1) non-web-components. Like is pointed out in this guide.
2) web-components. Through the Visual SDK.
Which is one is the preferred way of creating a custom widget?
Is the non-web-components way being deprecated?
Regards
To my understanding, if you will keep Thingworx front-end framework in OOTB and only want to add customized widgets based on this framework, you should use Thingworx extension SDK for developing. But if you want to develop customized web components based on Polymer framework that can also communicate with Thingworx back-end, you can use Thingworx Visual SDK for further development.
Hi @yhan ,
Thanks for your answer.
When you mention the ThingWorx front-end are you talking about the ThingWorx Mashup builder? Could you please clarify?
