Why Upper Camel Case naming convention ?

Hi,

Java and Javascript use lower camel case naming convention for the variables and methods ,  but Thingworx seems to use upper camel case for naming the properties and services by default,  it need while to adapt and looks a little bit  wired for a upper camel case method in Java extension.

is there any special reason for using the naming convention ?

Regards,

Sean

I don't think there is any specific reason for upper camel case naming convention. Standard naming conventions are adhered to,

  • Service names are uppercase to start each word (Upper Camel Case)
  • Local service variable names are lowercase and first letter of every subsequent word is capitalized (Lower Camel Case)
  • Service input names are uppercase to start each word (Upper Camel Case)
