I would like to have the best in class implementation of a Grid widget in Thingworx. Currently with the 4.2.0 version of the Advanced Grid widget, available into the PTC Marketplace, the only way to filter the table is to send the data back to the server. Now a day, most of the javascript libraries support:

  • CLIENT SIDE sort and filtering
  • Advanced column by column filtering with drop down list
  • A functional sort by date.

This has been already done by customizing the Advanced Grid widget but unfortunately with no PTC Support on top of it and no insurance on the compatibility with the further version.

Other features that need to be integrated:

  1. Export what is displayed (today, there is no way to filter the columns). The row filtering is available only if the filtering is done in server side.
  2. Pagination

New Grid Web component with better sorting is planned for the 9.3 release, 12/21 target.
