Currently, there is only Google Maps widget. But as all of us know, all Google services are blocked in PRC. This is the problem: when developers create ThingWorx mashups incorporating Google Maps widget, the widget cannot be shown if mashups are accessed from PRC.
I suggest making another maps widget that does not use Google Maps API. It can use either OpenStreetMaps or Bing Maps or Baidu Maps or other maps that are not blocked in PRC. I think it is wise to do this because if we just stick using Google Maps only, it means we neglect ~1.4 billion people that cannot see the maps.
