In mashup builder, a common need is to be able to click a button in one contained mashup to trigger an event in another contained mashup on the same page.
The workaround to do this currently is to:
- create a mashup parameter of type datetime for example
- on each button click, update the date time parameter
- on the second contained mashup, look for datetime parameter and use the datetime changed event binding
While this workaround is functional, its a bit convoluted for something that's often needed and makes the "code" / bindings less readable.
If we have a way to create mashup events without creating mashup parameters, this would make development quicker and easier
