１．Background
Our customer manufactures large medical diagnostic imaging devices.
The device has a long life and must not be defective.
Therefore, the OS built into the device needs to avoid frequent updates and upgrades, and needs long-term support.
2. Reason
Our customer wants to eliminate the re-execution of the function confirmation test of the device
and the occurrence of defects due to frequent updates and upgrades of Windows 10 embedded in the device.
Also, in order for my customers to be able to use it with confidence, the OS built into the device needs to be supported
for a long period of time.
Since the update interval of Windows 10 LTSB / LTSC is long and only security and patches are updated,
it is expected that the function confirmation test of the device will be redone and problems will be less likely to occur.
3. Understanding of Windowa10LTSB / LTSC
Windows 10 LTSB / LTSC is basically a model that does not update its functions.
We understand that the features of Windows 10 LTSB / LTSC are that the support period is 10 years at the same time and
the release interval is 2 to 3 years.
