For customers with increased security requirements, Administrator and Developer Users need to be kept separate. 

According to article CS315316, script functions are only available to Administrator users. Script function service snippets should be visible to Developer users.

Something like this that would be immensely helpful to developers should NOT be hidden behind "ADMINS ONLY"!  We wasted MANY manhours trying to do something that was already built into TWX...we didn't know it existed.

This is needed where I work. As developers, we don't have access to Admin functions.

I can't believe these functions are HIDDEN from DEVELOPERS!!! I NEED them to do my job and trying to find work arounds is just making my job harder, this is functionality that I am paying for but not receiving!!!!!! Fix this NOW PTC !!!!!!!

The recommended resolution of granting all Developers the Administrator role in order to receive this capability is not realistic for most companies security policies.

 

As a work around to this, we do see more and more developers using container based dev instances on their laptops and committing to central repo.  This would allow for having local Admin rights on the DEV instance however not on the shared environments.
