Thingworx 9.x meaningful legends for Line Charts

Timeseries charts are marked « deprecated » from Thingworx 9.0. They will thus be removed in an upcoming version. The official migration path is to use Line Charts instead (see this link).

Line Charts do not allow to define a meaningful legend. It is only showing Data Shape's field names, which are technical information.

I suggest that Line Chart be using (in decreasing order of preference):

- bound data to DataLabelX properties (as for Timeseries charts)

- (if no binding or field is empty) Data Shape's field friendly name (in DataShape aspect)

- (in no other applies) Data Shape's field name

Not being able to set meaningful legends is an upcoming regression. Actually, as soon as timeseries widget is removed, it will be a regression.

Having the possibility to define a meaningful legend is a requirement for us. See PTC Case C15777661
