Thingworx currently supports only a Service Provider in a SSO (Ping Federate) environment.

It would be usefull for some use cases to support acting as a Resource Provider.

The client (i.e a mobile app) would obtain a OAuth2 token (from PingFederate), and then to be authenticated in TWX using this token.

This is actually not true, Thingworx can act as Resource Provider : http://support.ptc.com/help/thingworx_hc/thingworx_8_hc/en/index.html#page/ThingWorx/Help/Composer/S...

Validated in 8.3.4 (with correction of url rewriting configuration)
