We have created custom part search application in thingworx navigate which takes input as search criteria and get the results from windchill.Business needs to save this search criteria in navigate application as Saved searches so that user can search from saved searches.
The Saved Searches that Navigate accesses are the Saved Searches available in Windchill. To create a Saved Search, you set up the search criteria in the Windchill Advanced Search interface, and select save the search. Then that search will appear in the list of Saved Searches in Navigate.
There is no way to create a Saved Search within Navigate, it must be created within Windchill.
A Navigate Administrator can tailor the task tiles in Navigate within the limitations of the options available in the tailoring interface. Type of filter can be set to "Saved Searches", and Navigate will list the Saved Searches it finds saved in Windchill.

As per my understanding - the question refers to invoking Windchill saved searches with filtering criteria.
How can one execute a saved search and pass a filtering criteria - say for e.g. only return entities with 'Approved' state or entities in a particular container.
Its my understanding that all criteria or filters of that nature need to be set in the Saved Search itself, in Windchill. Navigate just executes the Saved Search as it has been defined, without any additional filtering.
Has the information provided answered your questions? If so, can you please mark the response as the solution?
Thanks.
