When searching for Parts or Documents, our users sometimes need to find the latest version, regardless of state (even if it's pending a CN or still at In Design state). Other times, they need to find the latest production-released version, and do not want to see the in-process objects.
In Navigate, there's no way to do that. There is a admin capability to select latest released (can specify states and views). But this configuration change applies to all users. It's not available to individual users, and cannot be applied to individual users. Our Navigate customization team is finding it difficult to accomplish, and mentioned OOTB [Part Search] mashup is un-editable.
Any suggestions from the community would be welcome.
And I would request PTC should seriously consider this as a future improvement.
