Chalk Mark

When using chalk, say on a production line, how far can one walk away from the a Mark, before it is lost, or not accurate to its original location?  has this been tested?

Hi @dmforbes ,

I believe there is no maximum distance per se, but it depends on a few factors. Assuming you want to go back to the place to see the annotation in place and assuming the scene didn’t change drastically, chalk should be able to recognize the scene for the duration of the session, no matter how far you traveled in between. Assuming you want to maintain tracking the entire time, then it depends on the complexity of the scene: Chalk will build up and maintain a map of the scene to guide you through, and the limiting factor is your device’s memory. So, it depends on the complexity of the scene and path taken, and your device.
