As I checked in ptc portal( Augmented Reality Work Instructions | Vuforia | PTC) and the below image where it clearly given as 3D visual guides with step-by-step instructions.

PTC show some use cases in a gallery: https://ar.gallery.video/

There you'll see AR guidance with Expert Capture and Vantage, but also 3D assembling instruction in AR, done with studio.

Hope this helps to distinguish the solutions.
