CAD file formats supported in Thingworx Studio (Vuforia)

Team - I am looking for the various CAD file formats (such as Catia, Cadd5, NX, JT etc.) supported by Thingworx Studio. Can we directly use these 3rd party CAD file formats in Thingworx Studio or do we need to import these into "Creo Illustrate" and generate PVZ / PVI to import into Thingworx Studio. Any help is highly appreciated.

Mubarak Ali​ : Currently, creoview pvs and ol formats is supported. Also, pvz (which is a zip file containing pvs and ol) is supported.

Other formats will be supported in future releases.

Is there any specific format that you are looking for please advise so that we can share the feedback to Product team ?

Somehow Giri's link is broken. Here is the right one: Resources and supported CAD file formats.

The CAD file formats mentioned there are supported by ThingWorx Studio and the embedded geometry file importer. The file formats that you listed can be generated with dedicated CreoView CAD workers. As these are non-PTC products (except CADDS) there is a license associated to it and that's why the conversion can't be bundled with ThingWorx Studio. Please ask your PTC contact person for help with those.

As an alternative you may try to convert the data to a supported neutral format like STEP and import this to ThingWorx Studio. This may be a viable solution in a lot of cases even though you'll most likely get a better quality of the geometry with direct conversions.
