How can I connect Twx Studio to another database platform, other than Composer?

Dul Flores​: You can do that using ThingWorx where you can have configuration to connect external databases. Also, can write custom services to make REST call and then pull data from external system. Once you have data in Thingworx , then it can be easily be used inside ThingWorx Studio.

There is some other way to import data in real time, if you do not use the Thingworx composer platform?
