The "pipes" example has shadows enabled. How is that achieved?
Solved! Go to Solution.
For Creating Shadows, you need a 3D image. Here is one approach to creating a 3D Image in GIMP. It’s likely you will have to adjust the opacity to make it appear realistic.
1. Install GIMP
2. Screenshot of model from top (in Creo View – following steps assume background is white)
3. Copy/paste screenshot into GIMP (Paste As New Image)
4. Image / Flatten
5. Colors / Color to Alpha
i. Pick white to alpha
6. Colors / Colorify
i. Pick black (or 000000) as color
7. Filters / Blur / Gaussian Blur
i. Pick size as fits your needs
8. File / Export As
In Thingworx Studio, drag the 3D image widget under your model and use the image created above as the resource.
it's just a PNG image with transparency and feathered edges.
