Studio Install

My customer would like studio to be installed for ALL users of a PC, is there a way to achieve that ?

Hello Laurent Germain,

Vuforia Studio is a client software who should be deployed in each workstation for each developper.

So, as Creo Parametric who is also a client software who connect to Windchill and who is needed for each designer ; it is needed to use a third-party software to deploy them.

Now, in a workstation, Vuforia Studio is install locally in the current user folder.

It has many reasons for that :

1. Vuforia Studio is a webapp who runs a node.js server in background
2. But data is saved in user folder
3. It is not possible to work on same Project at the same time, in 2 web browsers by 2 developpers. In a such case, modifications done by one of the developper will be lost
4. We cannot control where Vuforia Studio will be installed and where the data is stored. By the way, we can do that in Creo Parametric, for example.

So, it is only possible to install Vuforia Studio for each user in on workstation.

It is not possible to install it for all users, except with a third-party software to deploy software in each user account.

I was expecting the program folder to be installed for ALL users, it should be an installation option and put in the enhancement list 😉
