Video widget in Hololens

Hi everybody,

Just tested the new 3D-Video widget, its great to have that feature. Playing a video doesn't seem to work in the preview. Anyway - I tried playing a video from the internet but didn't get it to work. Any ideas?

What I tried: 

$scope.view.wdg['3DVideo-1'].src="http://commondatastorage.googleapis.com/gtv-videos-bucket/sample/BigBuckBunny.mp4";

Thanks for providing the sample.

1) The 3D video can not be played in Preview. This is working to spec. To view the video, you must publish the Experience and view it on your HoloLens.

2) Currently 3D Video doesn't support URL source,  R&D team is working on the enhancement request via

DT-30492 (3D Video/Audio Widget - Support URLs)

Hello,

This feature has been added in Vuforia Studio and Vuforia View since 9.0.4.

@VladimirN,  it should support URL source for 3D Video in the new Studio version. You can test it in Studio 9.3 and see if it works as expected.

Just wanted to add, that you can also stream in a local network. Using e.g. an apache-server you can dynamically stream videos to your device.
