If the Trash icon has been clicked in Project thumbnail in Home page in Vuforia Studio, it is only exist one way to restore the files.
In Windows, files are not deleted but they are removed from indexes in NTFS file system.
It is possible to use a software similar to recuva :
https://www.ccleaner.com/recuva/download
If no data has been written over the delete files, recover them will be possible.
If not, data is lost!
So, in all cases with Vuforia Studio, it is needed to backup local files of Projects.
Publish a Project on the Vuforia Experience Service is not a backup!
Publish a Project generate other files to build an Experience.
Project is similar to source code in development of software.
A good solution to share between developers and backup Projects is to use a subversion environment like git.
