An RSS feed (Really Simple Syndication) is a standardized web feed that allows users to receive updates from websites such as recent posts and articles here on the community. Each RSS feed is accessible via a URL, which returns a file containing the latest content from that site in a format called XML.
To view and manage RSS feeds, users need an RSS reader (also called a feed aggregator). This tool automatically checks the feed URL for updates and displays new content in a readable format, saving users from manually visiting each site.
To subscribe to a community RSS feed go to the board you want updates from and click on "Subscribe to RSS Feed" in the options menu at the top right of the page.
This will open a page with the RSS Feed URL in your browser. Copy the URL and add it to your RSS Reader.
An RSS reader or feed aggregator takes the information from the RSS feed and presents it in an easy-to-read format. These can be desktop or mobile apps or accessed through your browser. Some are available for free. Here is one popular option Feedly (not an endorsement by PTC).
