AfterEDRLoader doesn't work in Windchill 11.2.1.4

We just upgraded to Windchill 11.2.1.4 and found out that our AfterEDRLoader stopped working. Before this we were on 11.1 M020 CPS08 and it worked like a charm (even in our previous version). Has anyone else upgraded to 11.2.1.4 had the same experience? We're using unedited code as posted here: https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS216668

I did this  WC 11.2.1.2 and working fine.

Check the class files and wvs properties

Is there anything specific I'm looking for? We combed through the wvs file and that was all correct and we reviewed the class file and it looked right. The .java code compiled with no issues but it's just not getting triggered.

Enable the verbose events and check the events triggered on publish.

Just tested our config in 11.2.1.6 - Works as we deployed in 11.0.

We modify the class name (to show we customized it) and we do renaming of the outputted file - and pull in cad doc #.
