Your question is too general.

What validator do you mean or what type of validator? 

DefaultSimpleValidationFilter contains just preValidateAction, preValidateAttribute, preValidateMultiTargetAction and populateResultSet.

I can't see any deference between a preValidation and a full validation so in my opinion the preValidation is the full validation in this case,
