Has anyone considered (or successfully implemented) a means of displaying for a user whether she has permissions to share to a project BEFORE trying to share and it failing?
In my head, I'd like an option perhaps as a column in the Structure tab (for assemblies) that says something like "Sharing permissions" and then displaying "No sharing, Share ok, Share and check-out" per user based on their specific domain access (i.e. whether the user has read, read/write, and change permissions policies for a particular domain).
We have a lot of users participating with external suppliers and often it comes up that something can't be shared (always because of a permissions issue). I'd much rather users have this info up front rather than going through the steps and then at the end getting the failure.
