Hi @Gokul_Nishanth

Thank you for your question!

I’d like to recommend to bring more details and context to your initial inquiry. For example:

  • Can you describe the steps you have taken so far to create the attribute in Windchill and ensure its values reflect in the XML file?
  • Have you configured the attribute mapping correctly between Windchill and the XML file? Are there any specific settings or configurations you have applied?

Please add screenshot(s) to better understand what you are trying to do in your process.

Hi Catalina,

Thank you for your thoughtful response and for providing guidance on how to enhance my inquiry.

To clarify my current situation regarding the attribute creation in Windchill and its reflection in the XML file, here are the steps I have taken so far:

  1. Attribute Creation: I have successfully created the attribute in the textual information element wizard.
I have referred this following article and i have worked on the burst configuration using this article
Article - CS304852 - Configure a Burst Metadatarule using Windchill and Arbortext
Article - CS171855 - Problems getting Windchill attributes into XML documents using Windchill PDMLink 10.1 M040 and Arbortext Editor 6.0 M120
Article - CS104162 - How to pre-populate <twowaymetadatarule> attribute value with setting of toxml before bursting into Windchill using Arbortext Editor

  2. Attribute Mapping: I have attempted to configure the attribute mapping between Windchill and the XML file, but I am not certain if all settings are correctly applied.

  3. My goal is to map the windchill attribute values to xml file

Thank you for your assistance, and I look forward to any further advice you may have!
